-- [EVENT] --Trick or Treat(0)
+[NODE]2
[STORY]
You are visited by an odd menagerie of guests, a witch a werewolf, a ghost and an unliving corpse.
They utter the words 'trick or treat' and look at you expectedly.
[/STORY]
[OUT][Zerca] This is the westerner nonsense you keep hearing about, instruct those fools in the ways of Zaduszki and the reverence for the forefathers they should show.
[OUT][Intelligence] You have heard of this westerner custom. Give them some fruit-sweets, as is the custom. Give [40 fruit] and then join in the fun!
[OUT][Intelligence] You have heard of this westerner custom. Tell them to beat it and warn them you will watch out for their tricks!
[OUT]Ask what they mean by this?
[OUT]Treat. [Give 50 fruit]
[OUT]You either have no fruit-sweets to give, or don't want to give them, so choose trick, it seems like fun.
[OUT]Show them a trick of your own, attack!
[/NODE]

[STORY]
The witch croaks:
'You give us things, or we do a trick...'
They all give a worrying laugh.
[/STORY]

[STORY]
The witch looks at herself, ashamed. The werewolf howls to the moon in apology to Horz. The ghost is so upset, it flickers in and out of existence. Only the corpse looks puzzled and asks:
'So, trick or treat?'
He gets beaten by the werewolf.
[/STORY]
[OUT]Tell them they must now join you in Zaduszki and show their respect to the dead properly, so that Nyia may forgive their impudence.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]8
[STORY]
You see they are not really listening to your argument, claiming they are merely honouring the forefathers in another way.
The werewolf steps up impatiently:
'So, trick or treat, eh?'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Give some fruit [50%] and join in the fun.
[OUT]You don't have fruit, so give them some equipment. [Trade]
[OUT]Accept the trick.
[OUT]Show them a trick of your own, attack!
[/NODE]
+[NODE]9
[STORY]
The witch claims the celebration of the Hollow's Eve is merely another way to celebrate Zaduszki, the day of the dead. It does not interfere with the old customs; it adds to them.
You find it hard to argue with her more, she does make a good point...
[/STORY]
[OUT]Give some fruit [50%] and join in the fun.

They take the gifts and although they seem unsure if that is all they are supposed to do, they move along to find more willing participants.

She tells you of three ways your fortunes can be told on Halloween.

[STORY]
An apple is peeled in one go, then the peel is thrown over your right shoulder, while you stand on your left foot and recite the rites of the dead, after all this is Nyia's night and you must not offend her with too much foreign practices...
The peel lands and the letter it forms will be the first letter of the name of the one who shall claim your life - be it in love or the eternal embrace...
[/STORY]
[OUT]The letter is an R... who knows what this will mean. Thank the visitors for the fate telling and get back to your business.
[OUT]The letter is an A... who knows what this will mean. Thank the visitors for the fate telling and get back to your business.

-- [EVENT] --All hallows eve(1)
+[NODE]2
[STORY]
As the cosmic forces align under the sigil of the spirit world it is traditionally the time of reverence for the dead, the All Souls day, or Zaduszki. During this period, it is the lady of death, Nyia, who is honoured and revered, so that she may look well upon the souls of your departed loved ones and also your own soul, one day.
Creatures of the unlife and those driven by darkness are traditionally invited into homes for feasting in peace, although one must remain ever vigilant of those who break the rules.
[/STORY]
[OUT]Praise Nyia.
[OUT]Say you need not hear more, thank her and leave.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]3
[STORY]
In recent years, the All Souls day has also been celebrated as the All Hallow's Eve, a tradition that drifted from the Westerlands.
Here, an odd custom of house calls and a thing called trick or treating has slowly taken over the lands. Carved pumpkins become lanterns, seemingly in honour of the dead, but dark forces often take advantage of such practices.
[/STORY]
[OUT]Learn more.
[OUT]Say you need not hear more, thank her and leave.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]4
[STORY]
One is said to have to gift those trick or treaters with fruit candy, or other goods or else face mischief in the form of the tricks.
House demons boycott this day, offended by its infringement of their own, daily practices.
Fun fact: Vegetables turn to pumpkins and fruit becomes fruit sweets during this time - scholars think a foreign deity must be playing tricks on Slavya...

-- [EVENT] --Bear village(9)
+[NODE]2
[STORY]
You are welcomed to the Bear Village by an infectiously enthusiastic fella, who says he is the mayor:
'Good day, good day. I am happy to show you around, but it is Tomislav that is really in charge of our little village, so when you have the time, do go and see him. You'll recognise him for sure, short, bearded, clever sort.'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Ask about the invitation.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]3
[STORY]
'Ah yes, yes, every few years we organise the celebrations of the All Souls night, accompanied by a wonderful competition of woodcutters and wood sculptors.
This year, however, we have special guests and they convinced me to include the practice of the All Hallow's Eve, a tradition from the Westerlands. Hence the pumpkins, you see. In any case, Bear Village has never looked better, so we want folk to come and enjoy the celebrations with us.'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Ask what can you do in the village?
[/NODE]
+[NODE]4
[STORY]
'Well, here, in the centre, you can visit the food stalls and join in the wonderful games and traditions of the Halloween - a new way to celebrate the All Souls day, very exciting indeed.
Or, you can visit some of our key spots, like the wise woman's hut where you can buy herbs, and listen to her many tales. The woodcutter's lodge, where you can admire the making of the wonderful wooden sculptures, you see here, or the kennels, where you can meet Gurtek, our beastmaster.'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Thank him and go look for some of the spots he mentioned.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]5
[STORY]
You are welcomed to the Bear Village once more.
[/STORY]
[OUT]Go explore the village centre.
[OUT]Leave.
[OUT]Ask around about the dead pets.
[OUT]Visit Tomislav, the 'Boss', at his house.
[OUT]Report to Tomislav regarding the forefather spirits.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]10
[STORY]
As you wander through the pretty main street of Bear Village, you admire the many wooden sculptures that stand tall all around you. There are woodland creatures, demons, all carved with meticulous detail. Some seem so real you could swear they look back at you.
Between the sculptures, you find food stalls filled with pumpkin themed goodies, but also roasted apples, hazelnuts and mead. You also see many revellers putting up decorations.
[/STORY]
[OUT]Check the food stalls.
[OUT]See if you can help with the decorations.
[OUT][Child] Ask to join in one of the games.
[OUT]Leave.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]13
[STORY]
The children perk up, and a woman nods:
'Yes, the more the merrier. See, the boss wants to please his foreign guests, so he is doing this whole pumpkin theme. But we don't want to anger the forefathers, so we want to try and do a bit of both. We have some Dziody masks carved, we have candles and we try to do all the decorating quiet; like, you know, so as not to upset the spirits, now they are so near.'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Agree to help them do it.
[OUT]Say they should listen to the boss and have proper Halloween theme.
[OUT]Leave.
[OUT]Actually, reconsider your options.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]15
[STORY]
The woman looks unhappy, but knowing you will not rat her out, she nods in agreement.
You can now carve some pumpkins, cover houses in spider webs and help the children paint their faces in scary designs.
[/STORY]
[OUT]Begin.
[OUT]Actually, reconsider your options.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]17
[STORY]
You did a splendid job. The place looks well dressed in pumpkins and all, but it also retains the feeling of Zaduszki. The older woman is pleased with you, but she remains quiet, as tradition dictates.
An older looking gentleman in foreign clothes claps his hands in admiration:
'Wonderful! You did the All Hallow's Eve great honour, to be sure. Now the spirits of the night will feel free to come and join us in unison. Bless you all. I am Fredrick, by the way.'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Ask Fredrick where he came from?
[OUT]Thank him and be on your way.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]18
[STORY]
'We used to live on the islands far to the west. But they were overrun with the lighbringer blight, so I took my family and sailed here, to look for better fortunes.
Mr Tomislav, or the boss as they call him, was kind enough to offer us his own home. Now, I must go and see to our host. Great meeting you.'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Wish him well and leave as well.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]20
[STORY]
You did not do very well. The older woman looks concerned with the efforts, as if worried this may anger the forefathers, but she does not say anything. The Halloween decoration looks half decent though.
An older looking gentleman in foreign clothes claps his hands in moderate admiration:
'Oh, how, nice. Well, you did your best, to be sure. Now the spirits of the night will feel free to come and join us in unison. Bless you all. I am Fredrick, by the way.'
[/STORY]

You did what you could, but these foreign customs are odd.

'Oh yes, we have apple bobbing over there or you can try your luck with our bread game - pieces of stuff were hidden in the dough, we each get a piece of the bread, and see what we find, some may have good fortune, some broken teeth!'

[STORY]
News of the pet murders reached the folk quickly, so when you ask around, people shake their heads in disbelief and anger:
'Must be those damned black hounds again, every time they escape we have to lock up our chicken coops and hide our dogs!'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Say you will go speak to the beastmaster then.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]47
[STORY]
You arrive at the mansion of Tomislav, the boss of Bear Village. The house stands tall on a small rising, overlooking a dark forest beyond the settlement's boundaries.
You hear the man's jolly voice welcome you from a window:
'Come up, come up my friends!'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Go into the house.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]48
[STORY]
Inside the house, there is a table set for a feast, a band is playing quietly in the background. At the table, you see a couple of beggars eating some food and Fredrick, the foreign visitor, looking at them with certain disdain. He sees you and walks over:
'Ah, more visitors, and ones less... rugged. Good. I do not understand why our host feeds them...'
[/STORY]
[OUT][Wisdom] Explain that the beggars symbolise the Dziody, spirits of our forefathers wondering the lands.
[OUT]Shrug and see Tomislav, the host.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]49
[STORY]
'Oh, that, yes. Boss did say something of the sorts. Hmm, odd, but why not.
He also made the music so damn quiet. Still. Each to their own, he has honoured the All Hallow's Eve well in all other ways!'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Shrug and see Tomislav, the host.
[OUT]Insist the foreigner should pay more heed to your customs, for Nyia may not be impressed with strangers dishonouring her time.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]50
[STORY]
You see a glimmer of satisfaction in the man's eye:
'Well, I say. She is not the only deity of death, no? We each have our own, and all should be honoured well, for it is their domain that receives the reverence after all. But, we should not argue under our host's roof.'
You see the boss watching his guest with curiosity.
[/STORY]
[OUT]Approach the host.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]51
[STORY]
Tomislav hugs you and smiles:
'Pay no heed to the zealous ways of my guest, but he did bring us all those wonderful new ways to celebrate All Souls day, did he not?
Now, I must dash and help with various preparations, but please do explore Bear Village, and come see me should anything go wrong.'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Explore the village.
[OUT]Leave.
[OUT]Ask about the dead animals.
[OUT]Ask him how a demon got to be in charge of a human village?
[/NODE]
+[NODE]52
[STORY]
You enter the village, and see people are gathered around Tomislav, who is trying to calm them down:
'Do not panic, I will get to the bottom of this, now go back to work and leave it to me, good people.'
The crowd disperses slowly and Tomislav beacons you to join him.
[/STORY]
[OUT]Ask Tomislav what happened?
[OUT]Tell Tomislav about Gurtek and Bogslava and their odd plot to scare off Fredrick.
[OUT]Join Gurtek to tell Tomislav about the angry forefathers.
[OUT]Share your suspicions about Gurtek and the dogs, but also about Fredrick.
[OUT]Talk about presence of the dark spirits that Gurtek mentioned.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]53
[STORY]
'Oh, yes, well, I don't quite know what is happening, but there were terrible screams coming from the woodcutters lodge, and, well, my son is there too, can you please go and check what is happening? All out guardsmen were sent away on a task, I have no one else to ask...'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Agree to have a look.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]54
[STORY]
'Well, I say! How ridiculous. I suppose we must go and retrieve the 'kidnapped' then, and sort this mess out. We can deal with the dogs afterwards.'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Agree and leave.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]55
[STORY]
'What? Oh, damn be my ambition... You mean Bohna and Vieslav are dead? Do you know what can we do, how can we appease the forefathers now?'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Turn to Gurtek for an answer.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]56
[STORY]
'I am no shaman, but, if the forefathers are awake and gathered, they will be by the old oak near the woodcutters lodge.
Let us go there and see if we can stop this.'
He turns to you:
'Will you speak to them on our behalf? We have no zerca, or shaman that could do it for us.'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Agree to go and help them with this.
[OUT]Decline, tell them it is their business and leave. [Abandon quest]
[/NODE]

[STORY]
You spot the caravan of Fredrick, the foreigner, disappear on the horizon, clearly only his life was spared here.
[/STORY]
[OUT]Leave.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]62
[STORY]
'You mean they said they would punish us? Well, that sounds ridiculous. Still, we thank you for the warning.
I say they are bluffing. Angry old men, trying to scare us. We will show them we can celebrate both traditions well enough, here, at Bear Village!'
The people cheer him on, but some seem a bit uneasy.
[/STORY]
[OUT]Nod and leave.
[OUT]Gurtek beckons you.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]64
[STORY]
'Tomislav means well, but really, he just doesn't know what to do. Even if we take down the Halloween stuff, you know as well as I do, it will not be enough now... I will try to convince some folks to leave, maybe that will help.'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Nod and leave.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]65
[STORY]
'Well, that is disturbing indeed, and yet, are we entirely sure Gurtek did not meddle here to protect the dogs? I am fond of them too, but they have become a nuisance...
Still, people tell me there is a commotion at the woodcutters lodge, can you please go and investigate? We will deal with the dogs afterwards.'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Agree and leave.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]66
[STORY]
'Fredrick? He spends his time with me mostly, and yes, he does go out at night, but always in the company of my men, for security, you see.
Hmm. I am sad to say it looks like Gurtek is indeed trying to cover up for those dogs of his. Still, people tell me there is a commotion at the woodcutters lodge, can you please go and investigate? We will deal with the dogs afterwards.'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Agree and leave.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]68
[STORY]
As you search through the bloodied debris, you find a note addressed to you, explaining that many folks were able to escape because you defeated that wooden bear, and thus, weakened the angry forefathers.
[/STORY]
[OUT]Leave.

Tomislav shrugs, but you see a sly smirk on his face:
'I was born here, you know. Not inside the village, but in a cave, over there - he points to his garden. I am a treasurer, meant to sit and guard some old chests, well, I got sick of it. Took my treasure, told the people of Bear Village that I will share it if they will let me live here. They did, and soon enough they figured I am best at manging things, so here we are.'

But, nervous not to offend the forefathers even more, the All Souls games and revelry continues quietly...

-- [EVENT] --Wise woman's hut(10)
+[NODE]2
[STORY]
You see the hut of the Bear Village wise woman. The place looks quiet and peaceful. There are some candles lit under a tree. The yard looks very tidy. And there are many signs:
'Stay quiet, so that spirits are not disturbed...'
'Remain indoors after dark, for the souls of the dead may not come in peace...'
'DO NOT spread white paint, or flour about your homes, you may mark a spirit, and this will not be respectful!'
A lady comes out and looks at you.
[/STORY]
[OUT]Greet the wise woman quietly.
[OUT]Say hallo.

[STORY]
'Hmm, good, yes. Quiet. So, what brings you here? Did young Tomislav send you to make me put up some of that pumpkin nonsense? If he did, I swear on my grandmother...'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Say Tomislav only said you should visit her.
[OUT]Ask why she does not like Halloween?
[OUT]See what she has to offer, you have no time to chat.

+[NODE]5
[STORY]
'Oh, right. Well, he is too smart to just tell you. Anyway...'
She was about to say more when a caravan drove past the hut at great speed. The woman stomps her feet and shakes her fist:
'Those bloody caravans! There are sings, they are not allowed! Bastards. They got my fence three times already, and killed my chicken once!'
She suddenly remembers about staying quiet and stops, but her face is red in anger.
[/STORY]

You walk over to where a small crowd of villagers has assembled and you see several animals gutted and spread out for all to see. People are whispering about Gurtek and his dogs as prime suspects of this foul deed.
Some children are crying, the adults look unsettled. They turn to their wise woman as she arrives with you. She speaks:
'This is some foul deed. And on the night of All Souls... we must find the culprits quickly, before the spirits are angered more!'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Question the wise woman first.
[OUT]Question the villagers gathered here.

[STORY]
'Dislike is a strong word. I care little for the foreign custom, that's all. I tell you, those Westerner spirits may be happy with pumpkins and tomfoolery, but our forefathers' souls are not be messed with.
Everyone is so jolly. Laughing, playing tricks, eating candy. No mournful peace, no reverence. Next thing you know they'll forget to light the candles at the cemetery! But, each to their own...'

' I was talking to you , remember. I know nothing of this mess, only that it is likely to be angry souls, pissed off at our Tomislav for organising his Halloween nonsense and listening to that foreigner, Fredrick.'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Question the villagers gathered here.
[OUT]Say you will help them and go ask about this around the village.
[OUT][Intelligence] That is a very quick conclusion she just drew. Insist she knows more; it is clear she was not very surprised to see those dead animals.
[OUT][Magic user] The animals do look posed to mimic some ritual, but it is nothing real. A parlour trick at best. Since Bogslava claims to be a wise woman, question why she did not notice this?
[/NODE]

[STORY]
'We were going about our work when we found them like this... Mieszko said he saw some black shadows, but he is odd, so who knows. I say it's those damned dogs or that odd fella with the pumpkins, Fredrick.'
Mieszko does not protest the assessment, but repeats he saw some dark shadows stalking away from this place towards the centre of village.
[/STORY]

[STORY]
A lot of the tracks are trampled by the crowd, but you do see a lot of black fur here and you see tracks coming from one direction looking heavy and same tracks going back, but lighter - someone carried the dead animals here.
[/STORY]
[OUT]Tell Bogslava your findings and suggest it is unlikely she wouldn't have noticed someone meticulously arranging the scene so close to her hut.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]25
[STORY]
The pets were killed brutally and their bodies arranged oddly, it looks like some sort of ritual or something. But there are no more clues for you here.

[STORY]
She looks nervous, then speaks to you quietly:
'I don't like to say, because we are friends. But Gurtek, the beastmaster, he often loses control over them black beasties. And well, Tomislav told him he will put them down if it happens again, so I think, the poor green git is trying to make it look like a crime to save his pups.'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Go question Gurtek, the beastmaster, at the kennels.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]33
[STORY]
'Oh fine, fine. This has gone far enough, and with your meddling, it won't work anyway. Yes, me and Gurtek planned this thing, we did kill a few pesky pets, made it look all scary and ritual like, we have a few folks hide away, pretend they are kidnapped. People will think the Dziody spirits are angry and maybe stop being stupid with the Halloween nonsense that foreigner, Fredrick, is making us do.'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Ask why she hates Halloween so much?
[OUT]Thank her for the honesty, but say you must now go and tell Tomislav, the boss, what's been happening here.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]34
[STORY]
'Hate? No. But I do see things, you know. So does Gurtek, through his spirit bonds. We have our ways, the westerners have theirs. Our Nyia wishes us to honour the souls one way, why should we do it in another god's way? Appreciate your own before happily accepting someone else's...'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Nod, but question if it is not possible to perhaps do both?
[OUT]Thank her for the honesty, but say you must now go and tell Tomislav, what's been happening here.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]36
[STORY]
She shrugs:
'Maybe. But I am old, I live in the now. And I know our Dziody are not nice spirits, bless their souls. They are envious, and proud and I do not see this going well for us. Now, go, do what you must.'
[/STORY]

'I take care of the animals, train these here dogs for master Tomislav, take care of his horses and the such. If you're looking for any of those foreign Hallow something attractions, I am not participating. But you can place an offering for the spirits under the old oak ...'

The woman speaks while sobbing:
'Vieslav, my son, he is missing. And Bohna, my neighbour too! Can't those mutts of yours go look for them?'
Gurtek shrugs:
'I don't know, dangerous that. Spirits are about, your folk was likely taken by them. You best honour the dead ones, then your folk will return, I am sure.'

So, you see, I still think it is the spirits who made it all happen. My dogs certainly did not kidnap anyone.'

[OUT][intelligence] Seems like an awful coincidence, the two things happening, especially that it is him who seems to hate Halloween so much. Insist he tells you the truth!

You commune with the souls gathering here for Zaduszki and indeed, you feel they are angered.
You now see clearly the dogs are possessed by the Bies demon, but they are loyal to Tomislav and would not hurt the villagers.

-- [EVENT] --Woodcutters lodge(13)
+[NODE]2
[STORY]
The woodcutters lodge is unlike any other you've seen, at least in terms of its aesthetics. The small building is beautifully carved, with the likeness of woodland creatures and wood folk staring back at you with eerily live eyes.
The whole yard is also taken up by wooden sculptures, some aged, others fresh, some even in the making.
You also see the tools of the trade are scattered around, dropped. And you see a small crowd gathered around one fallen figure.
[/STORY]
[OUT]Approach.

[OUT]Check if anyone survived.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]4
[STORY]
There is a body of a middle-aged woman, her intestines are spread out on the floor- she must be Bohna. Vieslav, the young man you were also looking for, lies twisted next to her, his eyes gouged out and throat torn apart.
Two bulky men, likely woodcutters, lie torn to shreds, their axes fallen nearby but free of blood - they didn't even have the chance to attack?
Finally, you spot a fifth body, that of a young man with long blond hair, his body bloodless and stiff, his face frozen in fear.
[/STORY]
[OUT][Perception] Investigate.
[OUT]Look around for clues.
[OUT][Medic] Check the bodies to determine how they died.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]5
[STORY]
The lodge is a mess, the front door is destroyed and the bodies are badly torn up - this is clearly the work of some beast.
[/STORY]
[OUT]Question the boy?
[OUT]Look around more.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]6
[STORY]
Bohna's and Vieslav's things are set up in the hut as if they were guests here. The front doors are torn apart, and the earth on the room floor is cracked. The tracks are odd, large, heavy and some look animal-like, but you cannot say for sure.
The wounds are very extreme, with definite signs of animal claws/teeth, but hard to say if that's the only weapon used here.
[/STORY]
[OUT]Question the long-haired boy, he seems in better shape than Vieslav.
[OUT]Look around more.
[OUT][Medic] Check the bodies to determine how they died.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]7
[STORY]
The young man looks up, his eyes are red with tears:
'I... I just don't understand how it happened. I felt, felt the wood so angry, then I came here, and there was all this blood and growling. All teeth, and claws, moving, but how? All this blood, how did they come to life?'
He starts sobbing and cannot speak anymore. You see Tomislav arrive and take him aside.
[/STORY]
[OUT]Ask if he knows the boy?
[/NODE]
+[NODE]8
[STORY]
'I am sorry, I don't mean to sound dismissive. But my son is fragile and has a big imagination, as all artists do. And those dogs killed enough of my folk, so I just want them gone.'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Say that you think the dogs are guilty.
[OUT]Tell him you think there is enough evidence to suggest something more than the dogs. Advise he spares them.
[/NODE]
+[NODE]9
[STORY]
Tomislav nods: 'Yes, I think it too.'
Gurtek is called for and he obeys, even though you see tears in his eyes. The dogs are put down by his own hand. Tomislav speaks up:
'It had to be done. You are an honourable man Gurtek, thank you. Now, I shall retire and try to regain a semblance of peace for the village. I thank you again for your help, God's chosen.'
He bows and leaves, so does Gurtek, carrying his two dogs.

+[NODE]10
[STORY]
'Well, you see. My boy, he is half eleven. And well. His sculptures, they are clearly infused with magic... It's just, if the villagers hear of it. They will not believe he did not mean it. I am a demon, you see, and he is a half-breed. Villagers tend to accept us only so long as we don't stand out like this... If we kill the dogs, folk will calm down and I will have time to try and figure out what is really happening.'
[/STORY]
[OUT]Tell him if the boy made sculptures that are magical and possibly walking around killing folk, he should pay for it like any other. Tell the villagers.
[OUT]Agree, allow to blame the dogs.
[OUT]Say that you will not tell on his son, for now, but he should also leave the dogs alone. Say you will continue looking into this for him.

+[NODE]11
[STORY]
The bodies were torn apart with sheer force and while there are some claw and bite marks, they are odd, full of splinters. Some cuts also look like they were made by an axe, but not a very sharp one.

[STORY]
There is a body of a middle-aged woman, her intestines are spread out on the floor- she must be Bohna. There are three more bodies in sight, two woodcutters, torn apart. However, Vieslav, the young man you were also searching for, is covered in blood but alive.
You also spot a fifth body, that of a young man with long blond hair, but you see he is breathing.
It looks like you got here fast enough to interrupt the slaughter. At least for the two.

'Yes, yes of course I do. He is mine. He is our artist too, you know. In any case. This is clearly the dogs, right? We should put those damned beasts down, now!'

[STORY]
You look for more clues and you see Tomislav and Gurtek arrive. Tomislav listens to what you have found so far, he looks concerned.

'Well, I suppose I did ask you to solve this for us, so I must trust your judgement.'
Gurtek, who stood nearby, bows to you:
'Thanks, you will not be sorry for this, I know my dogs and I know they did not do this. We best get back to the village and try to figure out what is going on here.'

[STORY]
'Oh, I see... Okay, I am a demon, so I give you my demon word I will tell people. But please, allow me to take him home first, keep him safe from the mob. He deserves a trial at least. Come see me in the village so we may figure out if this is the end of it.'
He walks away with his son. Gurtek nods to you, acknowledging you just saved his dogs.

[/STORY]
[OUT][Nyia] Yes, if this is their transgression they have truly erred. Allow the forefathers to continue their punishment as they see fit.
[OUT]There will likely still be a hard price to pay, as it has gone far beyond words. But, try to convince the forefathers that the people did not mean to anger them so.
